We would love for you to stay out and enjoy yourself! Say you reserved your rental for one hour. While you were paddling, you decided you wanted to paddle for another hour. You would just continue paddling for an hour, and once you return, we will charge you the difference. Within reason, of course. If extra time goes past sunset or overlaps with other reservations, we cannot allow an extension. We will tell you before we launch anyone if an extension is not an option.

For us, a full day is until we close the shop up. That being 9 pm. If it is a water rental, however, the full day ends an hour before sunset.

We always have everyone leave things like phones, keys, and wallets at the shop for us to watch. Shoes, clothes, and towels can go down to the dock. Of course, if you have a waterproof bag and would like to bring your belongings out with you, you absolutely can. Shoes, clothes, and towels will be in a dock box, so you can use your towels and put your shoes back on once you return to the dock.

There are a couple of different options for you to bring your phone with you. You can either bring your own waterproof bag, we can rent you a waterproof bag and we can also sell you one. If none of those options work for you, we will happily hold your phone at the shop.

We totally understand that the weather is completely out of our control. Rescheduling, cancellations, and refunds are always options when the weather changes plans.

Safety is always our priority, so we are very cautious with children and typically require them to be accompanied by an adult on the appropriate vessel. Meaning, a child between 6 and 11 years of age cannot share a paddleboard or single kayak with an adult. A tandem kayak would be the appropriate vessel. Usually, kids 15 years old and up can safely maneuver the vessels on their own, but this varies from person to person. Children must also always wear their PFDs for the duration of the rental or while they are on the water. We only offer PFDs for children 50lbs and up.

Don’t worry at all! We encourage you to do your first paddle with us! All the staff here are trained to give everybody a complete lesson on using a paddleboard. We will take as much time as you need. Learning to paddleboard is just like learning to ride a bike. It seems scary at first, and you soon realize how easy it really is. The hardest part is building up muscles that are typically rarely used. You will be a confident paddler in no time!

You won’t need to take the boards/kayaks anywhere, actually. We have a dock located at the Frenchy’s Seafood Company. We launch all boards/kayaks on the intercoastal side of Clearwater Beach (not the side that has the sandy beach). The waters are usually calmer on this side. We also have many islands we can direct you to, weather permitting.

If you don’t happen to have a waterproof watch, do not fret, we have you covered! We can rent you small and large-sized waterproof bags so you can bring things like phones, watches, cameras, snacks, and drinks with you on your journey.

We do not offer parking. However, there are plenty of pay-to-park options surrounding our shop. Here are some pay-to-park options surrounding our shop:

“North Beach Parking Plaza” – Less than a block north of the shop. You pay when you leave the garage. “Truist Bank Parking” is across the street from the shop. Make sure you park in the marked beach parking spots. They are all labeled. Pay at the paystand before you leave your vehicle. There are also apps for most of our parking around here called ‘Park Mobile’. (All parking rates vary depending on the time of year; some may be hourly, and some may be flat-rate.)

We only launch and recover the boards from our dock located at The Frenchy’s Seafood Company, 419 E Shore Dr, Clearwater, FL 33767.

Well, I am glad you asked! There are several islands that are very fun to explore and a good place to stop for lunch. There is also the Caladesi State Park, where you can paddle around, and fun waterfront neighborhoods to explore. Even just paddling around the surrounding area of the dock is exciting and interesting. There is so much to see! This, of course, all depends on a few variables such as your rental duration, wind speeds, and wind direction. We will point you in the safest direction for your time allotted.

For safety reasons, only one person per board is allowed. The boards we use in our rental fleet are designed to accommodate only one person at a time. We have multiple different-sized boards, and we assign each person the correct board according to size. This means the person on the board needs to be able to maneuver the board completely under their own power. If they cannot, we recommend going on a tandem kayak with another person.

All rentals must be picked up and dropped off here at the shop located at 439 Poinsettia Ave N., Clearwater, FL, 33767.

For us, a 1⁄2 Day is up to 5 hours.

At this time we do not allow pets on our water rentals. Safety is our number one priority.

Typically, yes. You would just need to pay for the amount of time you would be keeping it. For example, say you wanted to rent a bike for 3 days but return it by 1 pm on the 3rd day. You would just have to pay for 2 full days and one 1⁄2 day, and then you could keep the bike overnight with you. We would supply everything you would need to keep everything secure.

You will want to wear something you don’t mind getting wet. A bathing suit worn under a cover-up, UV shirt, or T-shirt is perfect. We also have changing rooms and a bathroom if anyone needs to change. This is a retail shop as well, so if anyone has forgotten swimwear or the like, we have plenty of options for sale here. Here are some other items that might enhance your experience:

The dock will close an hour before sunset. This changes depending on the time of year. During summer the sunset is typically closer to 9 pm, so you could expect the dock to close around 8 pm. During winter and Spring season the sunset is typically closer to 6 pm, meaning you could expect the dock to close around 5 pm.
