Q. When does stone crab season start?
A. Season officially opens for crabbers to harvest the stone crab claws from the traps on Oct. 15th. Season is open through May 1st
Q. When/What time is the Stone Crab Block Party?
A. From 12:00pm – 10pm both Friday and Saturday.
Q. Party in Dunedin – “Back Lot Bash”?
A. After opening Frenchy’s Stone Crab & Seafood Market across the street from Frenchy’s Outpost Bar & Grill, we wanted to expand the party to Dunedin! Checkout the live music line-up as we get closer.
Q. Where is the party located?
A. Clearwater Beach (We’re Back, Beaches!) -AND- Dunedin Causeway!!
A1. On Clearwater Beach: In front of Frenchy’s Original Café at 41 Baymont St., Clearwater Beach
A2. Dunedin Causeway: Behind Frenchy’s Stone Crab & Seafood Market at 501 Causeway Blvd., Dunedin
Q. Does it cost anything to attend?
A. Admission is FREE. Food, drinks and merchandise will be for sale.
Q. Where can I park?
A. Just a few feet away from the party is the North Beach Park Plaza which offers 600+ spaces! Also, public street parking and metered lots are available within several blocks.
Q. How much will stone crabs cost?
A. We won’t know prices until October 24nd as our deep discounts are subtracted from the ever changing market price.
Q. Will there be other food options?
A. Yes!
Q. So, I can get stone crabs at your restaurants?
A. Yes, stone crabs will be served at Frenchy’s Outpost Bar & Grill during (and after) our 42nd Annual Frenchy’s Stone Crab Weekend! We rely on the goodness of Mother Nature to bring us a bountiful harvest for all but availability will vary.
